Playing your UPS-NFL multimedia application: Windows '95, Windows 98: * After inserting the CD EXTRA in your CD-ROM drive a "UPS.exe" window will appear. * If your computer is not set to "Autorun" the "UPS.exe" dialog box will not appear. Set your computer to Autorun or click on "UPS.exe". Windows 3.1, Windows NT: * The "UPS.exe" isn't supported on Windows 3.1, Windows NT Minimum Requirements * Pentium Pc compatible * 16 MB RAM * Microsoft Windows 95 * 640 x 480, 256-color (8 bit) display * double speed or faster multi-session CD-ROM drive* with Enhanced CD compatible firmware * 16 bit sound card * Quicktime 3.0 or higher needed in order to see videos. *If you are unsure of your CD-ROM drive's capabilities, please contact your hardware manufacturer to verify that your drive contains Enhanced CD (Blue Book/Multi-session) compatible firmware. Troubleshooting: Getting Started 1. Make sure the CD is in your CD-ROM drive before starting your CD EXTRA title. NOTE: Some machine with older versions of Windows 95 will require additional system files. If the CD EXTRA will not run at all, or causes system crashes, run the file MSVCRT.EXE included with this disk. It will add the necessary components for correct playback. Sound Problems 1. Is your volume turned up? Are your speakers plugged in? 2. Do you have a Sound Blaster compatible sound card that can handle 8-bit, 22K sound? Is it installed properly in Windows? Try using another piece of software to play sound within Windows. 3. If you have a mixing control panel, check that the levels are not set to zero. Video Problems 1. You need Quicktime 3.0 to view video. The installer is provided in the QT3 directory. Open Setup.exe. Online problems 1. Do you have a direct connection to the Internet via modem, T1, ISDN line or other? If not, you will not be able to go online. 2. If you receive an error message when you try to go online you may not have enough free memory available. Make sure no other applications are open when you launch the Sony CD Player. Enhancing the performance of your CD EXTRA Turn off all other programs while you are running the Enhanced CD. This includes applications, clocks, screen savers and other software.
